Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

OOC Information
NAME; Kiss
AGE; 19
OTHER CHARACTERS PLAYED; N/A

IC Information
CHARACTER NAME; Chocolat Meilleure (Human Name: Chocolat Kato)
AGE; 12 in human years. Though never touched upon in the manga, it is said that one human day equals ten magical days, so she is actually 120 in magical world years. Either way, she acts 12.
CANON; Sugar Sugar Rune
CANON POINT; I'll be taking Chocolat from the manga, and from the middle of volume 2, before Vanilla was corrupted by Pierre. She's yet to really mature all that much and can come off as a brat. Mostly because she is one.
FAMILY TYPES; Dragon's Roar, Nightmare Soldiers, Wind Guardians

APPEARANCE;
Chocolat is quite a pretty girl when she dresses up, with a cute, tomboyish flair when she's in school garb. She dresses cutely, with an affinity for poofy dresses but those that are still moveable. While she looks as human as anyone else on first glance, her pointed ears and small but pointy canine teeth give her away as something a little bit more impish than a normal schoolgirl. She's short, about 4' 11" in my guestimation. Maybe 5' 0" with heeled shoes on. Chocolat has green glittering eyes and reddish-orange hair. A lot of it. Left to itself, it can reach well below where her back stops. She'll be arriving in this!

PERSONALITY;
Chocolat is short-tempered and extremely feisty twelve-year-old (at least in human years, as a day in the magical world is more like 10 days in the human world). No one can pick on Chocolat because she never gives them the chance to, spitting out a wave of insults or a quick kick to the shins faster than a word can pop out of someone's mouth. Mischief is her middle name, and is a firm believer in rule breaking and loopholes. If it impedes her process, then it doesn't need to exist. To her, there is always a way around something, or she'll just blatantly break a rule because they stop her from having whatever fun she's cooked up. Chocolat is a fighter through and through. Be it over a trivial matter or to defend something, a small war of venomous words or a scuffle, she's just about always ready to throw down. Most everyone upon meeting Chocolat assumes that she's rude, which....she really is. She has no real respect for elders and views them more as people who are set to cut her down when she's doing her own things. She's extremely blunt and forward in most situations. She's been called cheeky, saucy, crude, and flippant by multiple people on more than one occasion.

Though it's true that a typical witch is mean and nasty, Chocolat, though she talks tough and is rowdy, is extremely thoughtful and kind to friends. She constantly tries to help those in need and isn't afraid to extend a helping hand to someone in need. Her personality helps her make friends quickly this way; most seem quick to forgive her sometimes obnoxious mouth and unladylike demeanor because of her heart of pure gold even though it's coated in a foul language and an icy glare. Chocolat is comparable to an annoying toddler in some ways: you just can't seem to really dislike them for long because their purity and innocence and genuineness wins you over in the end.

With her friend Vanilla, Chocolat fought for multiple reasons, though the girls remained true to their initial pact of being best friends forever. Chocolat fought just as much for Vanilla as she did for anyone else, if not more. She fought for her honour when others thought she was a Ogre, when she turned against the kingdom and sought refuge with Pierre, and whenever anyone thought Vanilla to be wrong in anyway. Her loyalty to Vanilla remains throughout her shown life, and the two are for the most part inseparable, though for a while Vanilla was tricked by Pierre into joining the faction of Ogres.

Chocolat, being a strong individual, doesn't like it when people see her being sad or having a weak moment. She hides when she cries, runs off, covers her face, the whole nine yards. She thinks she's a lot stronger than she is, so when she does get emotional in a negative way, it surprises her and she reacts as thus. She hates it, especially, when people worry about her as she has no idea how to handle it. Countless times during the series, whether she was upset during a fight with Vanilla or over Pierre or her mother, Chocolat didn't want anyone to see her emotional side. To witches, that was weakness. Along the way, though, she learned to grow into her feelings and became more open with them.

In the canon material, Chocolat starts out as an extreme of all the above personality traits, but matures into a young woman who is a lot more understanding of the world and herself. Her personality stays intact, though, she's just a little more mature and worldly and her immaturity doesn't show through as much as the volumes progress, especially in the later part of the series as it becomes more serious. Chocolat blossoms into an actual candidate for royalty and a young lady, not just a spoiled and naive little witchling.

Chocolat spent a long time, almost the entire series, trying to find out how to remove it, attempting to remove Pierre's noir heart, and finally succeeding through her power to Filtre, or to make black hearts pure again (a trait inherited from her mother that she learns nearer to the series' closing). Love matters a lot to Chocolat, as does helping those she loves. She's extremely sticktoitive and wants to get her way, though it's not necessarily in a bratty way, such as in the example of Pierre. Chocolat loves to help others, regardless of her bratty exteriour, and as her time spent in the human world grew, so did she.

Since Chocolat's mom left her at a VERY young age, she has no real recollection of her at all except for a scent that she remembers vaguely, a warm cinnamon smell (her mother's name was also Cinnamon). Chocolat had no real idea where her mother is, and didn't proactively look for her, but she held her very dearly in her heart. She's got kind of a mommy complex. If she sees someone that reminds her of her mother, she is attracted to them and will unconsciously grow attached to them. Later towards the end of the series, she finds her mother in Pierre's familiar, a black cat, though their meeting is cut short. In helping save the magical world, she and Glace (the main warring antagonist) both explode into light, thus falling on her own sword to save everyone.

More than anything, love is invaluable to Chocolat, but not just her own love. Everyone's love. She fought for it all. Even as a child she knew that love was one of the most precious things in the world. Her love for Pierre was unwavering, even when it probably should have been. At one point, it was believed that Pierre and Chocolat were actually half-siblings, but she still loved him and canonly said as such. Regardless of her love, however, what always came first, especially with her character progression, was that other people also mattered and that their love for each other was also precious. That was what she truly fought for.

HISTORY;
Here's wikipedia which is short, so I provided a written history and world explanation!

SAMPLES
FIRST PERSON;
3.) If you were given the option to stay in the Digital World or return to your home, which would you choose? Why? Stay here? Why would I stay here? You do remember I got pulled out of an important competition, right? Don't just take me out of my own house and drop me somewhere different and ask so flippantly if I'd like to leave. I'll kick your butt if you don't let me go home, by the way!

4.) What ability would you most like to have? Flying! I want my flying back! Do you know how much it sucks to walk all over the place when I could be flying just like back home? Humans sure do have boring ways of getting around...

6.) What would make up your ideal friend? Hmmm...someone fun and lively, but meek and shy. I mean, it's great that people can grow backbones and all, but I get to play the hero when it comes to the little guy! It's a good ego boost! Also they have to be adventurous like me. Or at least go on adventures with me. But with liking types of people, I guess another girl my age...or a boy. I can get along with pretty much everyone at the end of the day, you know! [ Disregard that blatant lie... ]

Oh and they can't get mad when I pull pranks on 'em. That's a definite plus.

THIRD PERSON; (reused from Entranceway)
Being the adventure bug that she is, the large and ominous forest had Chocolat's name all over it. Before long, she's climbing trees and hopping from limb to limb, falling and skinning her knees but continuing on the trails. She must have gone two miles in before the darkness actually became so thick she needed a light. Pulling her wand out from it's hiding place, tucked into her pants, she calls out a spell.

"Étoile brillant!" and a shiny, serum-like mist comes out from her wand enveloping her. In a matter of seconds, she's shining. Sort of.

"Damn it, it only makes my hair and features shinier." Those stupid girly witch spells. Back home, her ecure had to go towards things that made her more appealing to boys. Why can't she have spells more suited to adventuring and exploring. "I can't see any further with shiny hair!"

But that doesn't stop her, bunching up her hair, she holds the mass of tendrils in front of her and leaves it hanging on her chest. At least the spell makes it so ridiculously glowy that it works to at least illuminate her feet. Walking on, over large branches and running into long reaching shrubs, the going is a little rough. More than once, she swears under her breath, sometimes louder, wishing she still had her ability to fly. Too bad she hasn't gotten that spell yet.

It's a good thing that her hair can act as a small illumination for the ground, as her foot almost came crashing down onto a small and dark toad handing around the mossy undertow. Hearing its warning croak she stops immediately, squatting down, wand sticking out from her trousers. Quickly, the toad is scooped up and set on her hand, covered in her glimmering reddish hair. Sitting on his regal throne of glossy locks, Chocolat strokes her new found friend. "Sorry about that, little guy." He reminds her of her own familiar, her red and black frog companion Duke.

She looks at him forlornly while he croaks noisily, not wanting to be held anymore, before setting him back down on the dirty forest floor. "You should probably get home before someone else tries to squash your guts out, you know." Turning on her heel, she decides to go home herself. Or what she is realizing has become a place she has to force herself call home, anyway.

Character Background:
❤ As the daughter of a prominent witch in the magical world, Chocolat was chosen as a candidate to compete for the throne as Queen of the realm, along with her best friend and daughter of the then current queen, Vanilla. In order to win the competition for the throne, the girls had to collect ecure in the form of human hearts (more so the solidified jewel that their feelings manifested via magic). Upon arriving in the human world, Chocolat soon realized that her personality that was normal in the magical world wouldn't do her much good in the human world. It was that same personality that kept her going even with Vanilla being the favoured of the two amongst their peers. She eventually makes a lot of friends at the school, including a boy named Pierre, her long term love interest.

❤ See, in the Chocolat's world, pretty much all witches and wizards and warlocks are nasty, mean-spirited, rude people who are demanding and pompous. Those features are also what they find attractive. This makes Chocolat an incredibly crude, spoiled, and lazy girl. She was extremely popular back home because she was an overly typical witch. Vanilla, the easily-crying and soft-spoken girl, was an outcast. Chocolat is into snakes and slugs and spiders, typical witch things. Vanilla likes fluffy mice and pink and purple and soft things. Chocolat is into going exploring and getting into danger. Vanilla is more likely to stay in with a cup of tea and a good book. In modern day Japan, especially among the average youth, a kind and pretty girl who has a soft heart is much more attractive than the loud and brash Chocolat. To drive this home, when it came to ten days into the competition, Vanilla had a score three times better than Chocolat's and was doing above average while Chocolat had the worst score in history. AKA the boys loved Vanilla but pretty much treat Chocolat like one of the guys; her tomboyish behaviour doesn't help her out any.

❤ As stated above, Chocolat is short-tempered and extremely feisty twelve-year-old (at least in human years, as a day in the magical world is more like 10 days in the human world).

❤ While humans can fall in love willy nilly with hearts to spare (what the witches call ecure), witches are only afforded one heart. They must have a mutual love exchange, thus exchanging their hearts. If that person falls out of love with them, then they die, and vice versa. Basically, if a witch falls in love and offers her heart to someone, they have to reciprocate it or they're doomed. Falling in love with a human, therefore, is a huge taboo as they can fall in love easily and have no qualms about their changing feelings. Due to this, the love she began to feel for Pierre was extremely alarming, though she learns shortly after becoming interested in him that he is a witch himself, though a dark one. A lot of the series deals with the various trials and tribulations Chocolat has to go through to finally fall in love and have it reciprocated with Pierre, though their love story is more like a motivation than the main storyline in later volumes. Pierre was an Ogre, or a evil witch with a heart comprised of hate and agony, which coloured it a deep soot black. Chocolat spent a long time, almost the entire series, trying to find out how to remove it, attempting to remove it, and finally succeeding through her power to Filtre, or to make black hearts pure again (a trait inherited from her mother that she learns nearer to the series' closing).

❤ Though it's true that a typical witch is mean and nasty, Chocolat, though she talks tough and is rowdy, is extremely thoughtful and kind to friends.

❤ Chocolat's mother was forced into exile for having a child with Glace, the darkest wizard of the magical world. Chocolat was that child, who was promptly left with her grandfather while her mother spent the rest of her life as a familiar; her punishment for her fraternizing with dark wizards. Her father was the ruler of another magical realm underneath the magical world she knew, though she never knew of such a world or her father's existence. She only ever knew what her mother looked like and thought through pictures and her diary, though she wasn't able to unlock it until her time in the human world. After this instance, it's shown that Chocolat looks at witches and using magic on humans in a new light.

❤ With her friend Vanilla, Chocolat fought for multiple reasons, though the girls remained true to their initial pact of being best friends forever.

❤ For example, all throughout the canon, a war is brewing between the Ogres and Witches, which is another obstacle in Chocolat's way not only to become queen, but to be with her love Pierre. Being an Ogre himself, it divided them from the start. They do fall for each other, and he does turn on his own kind in the end. Vanilla, for a short period of time, actually became an Ogre, though Chocolat saved her. Chocolat and all of her witch friends and family banded together with their kingdom to save the magical world from darkness. After she used all of her power, plus Pierres, they were sent to a forest where they lost all memories and sense of humanity. They had to learn how to speak and remember everything, which took them years. During this time, Vanilla ascended to the throne. When the two were reunited, Vanilla was ecstatic and promptly told Chocolat that the throne was hers. Chocolat, now a young woman, told Vanilla that the throne was hers, and that she deserved it the most. Even though Chocolat was the obvious victor, she still was loyal and mature enough to see her friend fit the part more.

❤ Chocolat, being a strong individual, doesn't like it when people see her being sad or having a weak moment. She hides when she cries, runs off, covers her face, the whole nine yards. She thinks she's a lot stronger than she is, so when she does get emotional in a negative way, it surprises her and she reacts as thus. Regardless of her love, however, what always came first, especially with her character progression, was that other people also mattered and that their love for each other was also precious. That was what she truly fought for.

Abilities/Special Powers:
❤ Chocolat is a witch from The Magical World, a land hidden behind the dark side of the human moon. Because she is a witch, she's able to use magic. The magic is a form of French word spell, sometimes requiring a wand if the spell is strong or the user is young. Chocolat has a wand of her own, with a few extra jewels containing spells that she can use. In Chocolat's world, some spells come with certain "add ons" to wands. One of Chocolat's main spells is "Etoile Brillant" which is a blanket light spell, allowing her to find people or to just light up a room or blind someone. Only a few spells are known, but it is assumed that you can figure out a spell using a rough French translation of what you want, much like Harry Potter and Latin.

❤ The main power that all witches posses is the power to take human hearts. In order to take a human heart, a certain number of things have to happen. The human involved must have some kind of feeling for the witch, limited to these emotions. In order to see the emotion a human has, the witch must use her Peek-A-Boo Glasses, or making a peace sign over their eyes. Older witches and hearts containing incredibly emotions can sometimes be seen by the witch without them. The witchling must then cast the spell as follows: "Sugar Sugar Rune, AVariantOfTheirName Rune, Heart Heart, Come To Me", though this is based off the most widely used translation. The incantation causes a barrier to be set up so that they can momentarily stop time and call the heart to them. Older wizards and witches can do this without calling a barrier or even saying a spell at all. Once the heart is called, it normally goes into a heart holder, which Chocolat has, pictured here around her neck. It's said by Chocolat's mother, that if a witch takes too many hearts from one human, the human can become ill and hospitalized, so they must proceed with caution.

❤ Chocolat has a special power all to herself, or at least that is extremely rare, that is called Filtre. Ogres and witches/humans that are filled with hatred develop black hearts that are deadly to other witches, and their hearts cannot be taken by the average warlock. Chocolat, however, can claim the hearts and purify them into white hearts, free of hatred and at peace with the world. This power can be useful, though it's possible to kill an ogre or witch by taking their black heart unless they have two hearts, as it is also detrimental for normal witches to touch noir. Witches and ogres are only allowed one heart, normally, so it can be problematic. The spell for catching hearts to filtre is the same as the normal heart catching spell, though the word filtre is used instead.

❤ Regarding her competence with magic, there is a big difference between using magic in her world and the human world. In the magical world she is quite the prolific magic user, flying and cleaning and cooking with spells. In the human world, though, you have to have specific wand add ons and items in order to use magic. Thus, cleaning and flying is something she can't do without a spell or wand. Also, because she isn't very popular at first, getting money via ecure to buy options for her wand and other magical items is hard. As of the canon point I'm taking her from, she only has two wand add ons: La Étoile Brillant, a spell to make her lips and hair shiny and La Fleur Spirale, which makes flowers bloom anywhere she wants. In the human world, aka here in game, her magic will be a little shaky, but those two spells she definitely knows and can do. Other spells are possible, but are barely manageable, if at all, without an addon for her wand.

First-Person Sample:
[ Chocolat is lounging in the courtyard, a one-piece on with a glass of lemonade in one hand. ]

So hey, whoever owns this resort. [ Since that's what this is to her. ] You do know I'm in the middle of this big competition, right? Not that I'm complainin' or anything. I deserve a vacation!

[ After a long and loud sip, she slips a finger into the pair of sunglasses she has on, tilting them down so her glaring green eyes are visible. ]

But if you think I'm gonna be held prisoner in a place like this and risk me winning a castle and guards and servants, you've got another thing coming. I'm a witch you know! I can curse you! [ Not really.

But as soon as she's said her piece, a growl in her voice and everything, she puts the shades back up, hiding a sad glint in her eye. ]
Just because I was doing a piss poor job doesn't mean I don't deserve the chance to try to get better, you know...

She only ever knew what her mother looked like and thought through pictures and her diary, though she wasn't able to unlock it until her time in the human world.

❤ With her friend Vanilla, Chocolat fought for multiple reasons, though the girls remained true to their initial pact of being best friends forever. Chocolat fought just as much for Vanilla as she did for anyone else, if not more. She fought for her honour when others thought she was a Ogre, when she turned against the kingdom and sought refuge with Pierre, and when ever anyone thought Vanilla to be wrong in anyway. Her loyalty to Vanilla remains throughout her shown life, and the two are for the most part inseparable.

Appearance:

Personality:
❤ Chocolat is short-tempered and extremely feisty.

❤ Most everyone upon meeting Chocolat assumes that she's rude, which....she really is. She has no real respect for elders and views them more as people who are set to cut her down when she's doing her own things. She's extremely blunt and forward in most situations. She's been called cheeky, saucy, crude, and flippant by multiple people on more than one occasion.

❤ Adventurous to a fault, Chocolat is almost constantly exploring or finding something new to do. Running around, finding an animal to play with, exploring a pond, climbing hills and cliffs is all in a days work for Chocolat. She constantly seems to be getting into something, and more often than not it lands her in trouble. She's notorious as a trouble maker and a spit-fire.

❤ Along with her almost compulsive need to find something to do, Chocolat is extremely rash. She thinks things through her way and sees no need to argue the point with anyone but herself, often simply following the beat of her own drum. Not think things through is often what gets her into trouble.

❤ Chocolat, though she talks tough and is rowdy, is extremely thoughtful and kind to friends. She constantly tries to help those in need and isn't afraid to extend a helping hand to someone in need. Her personality helps her make friends quickly this way; most seem quick to forgive her sometimes obnoxious mouth and unladylike demeanor because of her heart of pure gold. Chocolat is comparable to an annoying toddler in some ways: you just can't seem to really dislike them for long because their purity and innocence and genuineness wins you over in the end.

❤ Chocolat holds love at a very high value. Though not a romantic, Chocolat knows that love is extremely important and is very interested in the love of others. She's been known to help out a couple in crisis a time or two and because she hangs out with more boys than girls, girls will often times come to her for advice on certain guys likes and natures when they fancy him. Chocolat is always more than happy to help out her girl friends. Chocolat is cautious before feeling anything but friendship for guys as true love is something that can only happen once and will only fall for someone she knows is The One.

She hates it, especially, when people worry about her as she has no idea how to handle it.

❤ In the canon material, Chocolat starts out as an extreme of all the above personality traits, but matures into a young woman who is a lot more understanding of the world and herself. Her personality stays intact, though, she's just a little more mature and worldly and her immaturity doesn't show through as much as the volumes progress, espeically in the later part of the series as it becomes more serious.

❤ Since Chocolat's mom left her at a VERY young age, she has no real recollection of her at all except for a scent that she remembers vaguely. Chocolat has no real idea where her mother is, and doesn't proactively look for her, but she holds her very dearly in her heart. She's got kind of a mommy complex. If she sees someone that reminds her of her mother, she is attracted to them and will unconsciously grow attached to them.

Abilites:
❤ Chocolat is a witch from The Magical World, a land hidden behind the dark side of the human moon. Because she is a witch, she's able to use magic. The magic is a form of French word spell, sometimes requiring a wand if the spell is strong or the user is young. Chocolat has a wand of her own, with a few extra jewels containing spells that she can use. In Chocolat's world, some spells come with certain "add ons" to wands. One of Chocolat's main spells is "Etoile Brillant" which is a blanket light spell, allowing her to find people or to just light up a room or blind someone.

The witchling must then cast the spell as follows: "Sugar Sugar Rune, AVariantOfTheirName Rune, Heart Heart, Come To Me". The incantation causes a barrier to be set up so that they can momentarily stop time and call the heart to them. Older wizards and witches can do this without calling a barrier or even saying a spell at all. Once the heart is called, it normally goes into a heart holder, which Chocolat has, pictured here. It's said by Chocolat's mother, that if a witch takes too many hearts from one human, they can become ill and hospitalized.

❤ Chocolat has a special power all to herself, or at least that is extremely rare, that is called Filtre. Ogres and witches/humans that are filled with hatred develop black hearts that are deadly to other witches, and their hearts cannot be taken by the average warlock. Chocolat, however, canclaim the hearts and purify them into white hearts, free of hatred and at peace with the world. This power can be useful, though it's possible to kill an ogre or witch by taking their black heart unless they have two hearts. Witches and ogres are only allowed one heart, normally, so it can be problematic. The spell for catching hearts to filtre is the same as the normal heart catching spell, though the word filtre is used instead.

First Person:
[ Chocolat may not be the most technologically wise, but she can at least use a cell phone properly. It's a pretty dumbed down kiddie cell phone, but it still functions properly and has all the bells and whistles. She hits a big button to start the video going and gets on her soapbox. ]

Hey! All you adults! Don't you think it's a little gross being married to strange people? You might not even like the person you're bunking with, right? In my world, marriage is totally important! You don't mess around with things like that, you hear! So you should get a divorce right away. Be glad you're all human or you'd die if you split.

Humans go to church for that kind of thing, right? What're you waiting for! Get down there and get yourself unhitched! ASAP! [ Her face has gone from normal to agitated to really worked up over the course of the video. ]

The moral of this story is you should only marry people that you really love, no matter what some huge faceless jerk says. I'll kick his butt if he thinks this is cool! [ With that the feed shuts off, but not before she wags a finger at the camera. ]

Third Person:
The frustration of being human was beginning to be too much for Chocolat. First she had to clean house on her own, then take a bath on her own, and now she can't even do any of her more fun spells, like chocolate making or making things shiny, and that didn't even include the things she could do with her wand OR her magical items. No diary, no familiar, no anything.

"Arrrgh! This totally sucks!" She threw herself on her bed, tired of trying to do her hair via magic in the bathroom. "Being a human is so boring! How do they stand doing all these things on their own? It should be a crime to be human."

Rolling over, she hugged her pillow close to her chest. After her recent stint in the magical world, she was missing magic more than anything on her earth or any other. Not to mention if she was gone for more than two human weeks, then she'd be expelled from her competition. The first time she left, she didn't know, but this time...she was actually concerned about it. Even though she was losing the battle badly, she was determined to do well and to win. If she stayed here long enough...Vanilla would win by default. Chocolat loved Vanilla but she had a fighting spirit.

"Uhhhrrgh." Chocolat rolled over onto her stomach again, pressing her face deep into the sheets. "I've gotta get out of here. I wish I could fly again." It wasn't long before her agitation subsided and she was fast asleep, taking a mid-afternoon nap.

Source Canon: Sugar Sugar Rune
Age: 12
Role In Canon: Main Protagonist
History: Tell me if you need more, as there's a lot more stuff that happens and this is a pretty condensed down version so as not to completely spoil anyone.

As the daughter of a prominent witch in the magical world, Chocolat was chosen as a candidate to compete for the throne as Queen of the realm, along with her best friend and daughter of the then current queen, Vanilla.

Due to the large rule concerning witch's hearts, the love she began to feel for Pierre was extremely taboo, though she learns shortly after becoming interested in him that he is a witch himself, though a dark one. A lot of the series deals with the various trials and tribulations Chocolat has to go through to finally fall in love and have it reciprocated with Pierre, though their love story is more like a motivation than the main story line in later volumes.

Chocolat's mother was forced into exile for having a child with Glace, the darkest wizard of the magical world. Chocolat was that child, who was promptly left with her grandfather while her mother spent the rest of her life as a familiar; her punishment for her fraternizing with dark wizards. Her father was the ruler of another magical realm underneath the magical world she knew, though she never knew of such world or her father's existence. She only ever knew what her mother looked like and thought through pictures and her diary, though she wasn't able to unlock it until her time in the human world.

Sample: [ Appearing on the vine today is a small girl, though her innocent look is marred by an extremely angry facial expression. ]

Let me talk to this Queen person! There's only one queen I serve, and that's Queen Candy. I'm not going to stand here and let you boss me around when you aren't even my real queen!

I'm gonna cast such a big, bad spell on you, it'll make your head spin! You kidnapping blockhead! I'm going to kick your butt into next Saturday, you coward. I'll be here, waiting, if you wanna show yourself. I've got a competition to win, here.

Note: I'll be taking Chocolat from the manga, and from the middle of volume 2, before Vanilla was corrupted by Pierre. She's yet to really mature all that much and can come off as a brat.

Canon Background: As the daughter of a prominent witch in the magical world, Chocolat was chosen as a candidate to compete for the throne as Queen of the realm, along with her best friend and daughter of the then current queen, Vanilla.

Chocolat's mother was forced into exile for having a child with Glace, the darkest wizard of the magical world. Chocolat was that child, who was promptly left with her grandfather while her mother spent the rest of her life as a familiar; her punishment for her fraternizing with dark wizards. Her father was the ruler of another magical realm underneath the magical world she knew, though she never knew of such a world or her father's existence. She only ever knew what her mother looked like and thought through pictures and her diary, though she wasn't able to unlock it until her time in the human world.

With her friend Vanilla, Chocolat fought for multiple reasons, though the girls remained true to their initial pact of being best friends forever. Chocolat fought just as much for Vanilla as she did for anyone else, if not more.

Background (AU!Canon; HP): ( SAYONARA ) A small town in France was home to a rare and true pureblood beauty, Cinnamon Meilleure, hailing from a community that prided itself on being completely pureblood. She was a fetching girl, sassy and spunky and full of life and vigor. There wasn't a man around that didn't want to court her. She, however, had better things to do with her time rather than to deal with the trifles of dating and dealing with men she found to be tedious. Cinnamon was a rapscallion, causing her father grief no matter whether she was dating or not.

It wasn't long, however, until she did find a special someone that she fell in love with, though he wasn't as in love with her as much as she was with him. He was the son of a known Death Eater, his mother, and was walking in her footsteps. Glace was unattainable and his mother made sure of that. Any girl that even glanced at her beloved son was immediately shot down, believing that her boy was too good for just any witch, not even the community's pureblood girls. Most of them were not bothered by the several Voldemort supporters taking residence in their village as they were pureblood and knew that they were not really in any great danger, but her connections to him were still rather intimidating. Her complex toward her son was almost terrifying and his home life was always a topic of the town's gossip. Glace was a dark and grim boy, cruel with those he saw were struck by him. He was wicked with almost everyone, and it was noticeable. What Cinnamon and his countless other fans saw in him, no one knew. Cinnamon, however, was the only one brave enough to not care about his mother and her affiliations and prejudices, though was never clear on her support or lack-there-of for the ideas the Death Eaters believed in. None of it mattered, as she loved him, though flippantly as a young girl would.

Their relationship wasn't a healthy one. Cinnamon was deluded by school girl romance, though she wouldn't admit it to herself or anyone else. Glace was using Cinnamon just to get off on his cruelty. It wasn't long before their slinking around resulted in a blessing and a curse. Cinnamon was with child and that was something she couldn't ignore and couldn't play off. She didn't want to, she found. Cinnamon's love had grown and blossomed past her adolescent daydreams. She had made a baby and vowed to give her heart to him. Glace didn't feel the same way. His mother promptly found out and threatened Cinnamon and her father with the wrath of dark magic for her indescretion with her son. Her father could not have cared less, and told them as such. Soon after, Glace and his family left the town, supposedly to England to be closer to the main concentration of Death Eaters. Cinnamon, all the while, had skipped town as well, and her father feared she had left with them to support the Dark Lord (he was against the whole idea of "purification"). She returned, roughly a year later, without Glace but with a new baby girl, Chocolat.

Chocolat was raised by her grandfather, her grandmother long since dead from a certain type of cancer. Cinnamon left shortly after dropping off her newborn, leaving only a journal and an assortment of magical candies, her father again assuming she left to be with Glace. Their lives were comfortable and Chocolate developed like a normal girl. Her grandfather told her all about her mother, and the towns-people of course knew of her infamy. Because she disappeared, however, Chocolat's father was unknown to most everyone except her grandfather. Some assumed but no one would dare say anything for fear of falling out of favor with Glace's family, an ever present threat though no longer in the country. While Chocolat wondered what her mother looked like (her grandfather was a stickler about not keeping photos around, though she did manage to scrounge up a few here and there), she never really regarded herself as having a mother. She had her mother's diary, of course, but the key was with her grandfather and it wasn't to be Chocolat's until she was to go to Hogwarts. Her father was of absolutely no concern to her, since she never really thought about his existence at all.

Chocolat was soon discovered to have a personality much like her mother's, though a little bit more brash and rude (like her grandfather). She discovered quickly that playing with dolls and dressing up wasn't exactly her forte, as she loved playing outside, rough housing, and hanging out with the boys, not unlike her mother. One of her many friends was Vanilla Mieux, a girl whom she rescued from a group of boys who mercilessly teased her, that she met when she was 7. The girls quickly became extremely close and the two were soon best friends. Chocolat would do absolutely anything for Vanilla. Vanilla was a sweet girl and Chocolat knew that was rare in their community. She was like a precious jewel to Chocolat, and she felt that if she was to be left unprotected, the wicked children would tarnish her. It was from Vanilla that Chocolat learned humility and discovered the vastly different factions born from purebloods and mudbloods. While Vanilla and her family were purebloods, they were staunch believers in wizarding equality, which was something decently unheard of in their town. While Chocolat rarely put much thought into the matter, she did believe that anything that sweet Vanilla believed in was the right thing, though it might have been weird. In either case, she stuck up for her no matter she or her family's affiliation.

Coming from a community consisting mostly of tight knit pureblood witches, Chocolat knew of magic when she was born. She also knew, from an early age, that it was something she was good at, showing strong promise in exuding her skills at a young age. Her grandfather was always silently proud of the gift for magic she held. Chocolat knew she would have a high aptitude for magic, though it only concerned her when she needed it. Applying herself, especially in school, was something she didn't like at all. When she did get her Hogwarts letter, though, she was excited. One, to be away from her grandfather and to explore the world. Two, to hone her skills and become a better witch. Upon getting sorted and in classes, she almost immediately lost interest in learning. She's comparable to a student who doesn't do their homework but passes the finals, so in the end they're clear. It's also notable that she did receive a letter from Beauxbatons as well, but found it more appealing to go to England, both to explore and to chase her mother, whom she was beginning to get interested in. Though her grandfather had repercussions, he did allow her to go, knowing that there was no chaining down a girl like her. Their community was becoming toxic, anyway, and the further from France she was, the better.

With the war ending and tempers flared, Chocolat's been forced to think about how her family and blood status may differ or uphold her opinions. Though she doesn't know her parents might be strongly affiliated with dark magic, she does know that being a pureblood speaks volumes in this day and age based on how people treat her and the past tension in her village. She's still just eleven, though, so it's not the biggest thing on her mind. She does notice the tension and how everyone has been effected by the war, but she doesn't concern herself with it too much.

As an additional note, Chocolat, being an adventurous young girl was always bringing home random natural fauna, such as snakes and rabbits and frogs. She grew extremely attached to a oddly coloured frog when she was 10, and she's been keeping him ever since. Named Duke, she brought the little guy to Hogwarts, though he's often hopping around somewhere where she isn't. ( LIVEJOURNAL )
How would your character fit in to each House?

Gryffindor: Chocolat is an extremely brave individual, as evident in her childhood as a tomboy and huntress. She's extremely strong headed and is devoted to one-mindset, extremely loyal to her grandfather, home, and opinions. If she knows that she is in the wrong, she'll begrudgingly give up in favour of what she knows to be just. She's saved her friends countless times and done things that most children, even those who grew up around her in the hillsides who were accustomed to being rambunctious, wouldn't do, whether out of stupid gall or daring.

Hufflepuff: While a hard-working individual, she has to be pressured into doing things she doesn't enjoy and can be considered lazy by some. Patience is by no means a trait Chocolat posses, as she is very quick-tempered and impatient. Fairness depends on how serious the matter. If Chocolat knows that being honest and forth-coming is for the greater good and in serious situations, she will be fair and upfront about her actions. For small things, such as stealing a treat or fighting, she will be a little more unfair and sly.

Ravenclaw: Chocolat has a natural talent for magic as she found small uses for the natural magic she exudes. If school didn't interest her, she didn't give her all, thinking that whatever she had a muse for to be of more importance. Chocolat has a lot of street smarts where intelligence is concerned, and is more resourceful than book smart. Where creativity is concerned, Chocolat is good at being inventive in certain areas whereas others wouldn't apply. She's no where near being artsy, though good with her hands from being very outdoorsy and outgoing. She's very good at finding new ways to do things though, so as not to get bored with the same old thing over and over again. When given something to learn, though, she does get the hang of it rather quickly.

Slytherin: Growing up as an adventurous tot, Chocolat learned how to use her resources well and to be sneaky. Her grandfather could control her with a stern punishment, but she was a sneaky child, mischievous to a fault. In canon, Chocolat beats all odds at the Spring Exam in the magical exam by beating out Vanilla using her resourcefulness. Though sly, Chocolat was never necessarily cunning. She was, though, always the front runner of the pack of children she always ran with. She's also a big rule-bender, willing to break and side-step rules if it fancies her or if it's for the greater good. Chocolat does meet the supposed-qualification of being pure-blooded.

RP Samples:

So Valentine's Day is coming up, huh? And the older kids get to go out and do stuff while we younger kids get to just sit here and study and junk? That's a load of crap. Just because I don't have a date, doesn't mean I don't want to go out and explore! What the hell'd I come to a foreign freaking country for in the first place?

Seriously. It gets kinda boring after a while of just sitting on your butt. Studying is boring and I can't go into the forest or anywhere fun. Give me a break. It seriously needs to lighten up around here.

So I flipped all through our spell book for this year and I found out that just like first year, we're just doing a bunch of baby spells again! Where's the good stuff, like learning how to turn someone into a lemur or how to have a house mop itself? Like Quietus. That spell is so crap.

Furnunculus sounds pretty fun though. I could do some boys some damage with that one.
